Bowser is the main villain, and also the "true" boss in the Mario universe. He can be shaken to be turned into Bowser Jr..

Description[]

There can be several Bowsers in one level, with a majority of six (three in the main area, three in the sub area). Bowser can be turned into a bigger variation of himself when the player puts a Super Mushroom on him. Larger Bowsers can spit fireballs that can destroy blocks. He can easily be defeated by running into him with a Super Star, and he often appears next to where the level ends.

Game Styles[]

Super Mario Bros.[]

Simply walks back and forth, breathing fireballs at different heights. This is the smallest iteration of Bowser.

Super Mario Bros. 3[]

Will shoot more rounded fireballs and will sometimes attempt to Ground Pound the player.

Super Mario Bros. World[]

Takes on a new appearance exclusive to the Super Mario Maker version of Super Mario World. Will occasionally breathe fireballs into the sky, where they will eventually fall onto the ground.

New Super Mario Bros. U[]

Acts like the Super Mario Bros. style, but this time he aims his fireballs at Mario. He also follows Mario more agressively, as he will jump towards Mario if he runs past Bowser once he is on screen. In addition, he will shoot out a volley of fireballs, in a giant arc that leaves small gaps to go through.

All Styles[]

In any game style, Bowser can be turned big, which makes Mario unable to pass through him in certain game styles. You can also give him wings, which will allow him to extend his jumps. This includes the Ground Pound that the Super Mario Bros. 3 style has. When in a Clown Car, Bowser will occasionally duck into the vehicle and toss out a Bob-omb on both sides of him.

Trivia[]

Additionally, Bowser appears as the fifth collectible amiibo, after Luigi and before the Goomba.

This is the first time that the Super Mario World style Bowser has fought outside of his Clown Car.
